~*The Chipmunk*~
Posted by georgieporgie on January 31, 2008This recipe is so aptly named the chipmunk because it’s rich and oh so delish! It’s great to have on hand when you are snowed in a ski lodge drinkin zimas ( ;) becs) or say for suberbowl Sunday when you are watching those commercials OR waiting for poor miss paula to have a break down on national tv during her performance. However you could just make this recipe to pay homage to our own lil resident chipmunk…Alvin…
Ok, again with the cast of characters~that really has a nice ring to it…
3-8oz pkg cream cheese(bring to room temperature)
1 stick butter(I like land’o lakes, again bring to room temp)
cream both together
add:
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 pkg Hidden valley ranch dip mix
Mix well and put in a shallow dish. Top with Cracked pepper(if you like pepper use a lot-you can get creative and make a chipmunk design if you like) and allow to chill for at least few hours so the flavors are absorbed(best to make the night before -however if you are snowed in a ski lodge and drinkin zimas-feel free to indulge as soon as it’s made). Serve at room temp with pretzels OR slice a french baguette and toast the slices, then spread over the bread-Oh my gosh it is so yum-yum!
